JOB SUMMARY

Simplimatic, A Signode Brand is currently seeking a Software Engineer to perform software design, developmental, and testing duties for electro-mechanical automation devices and machines for the electronics, optical, personal care and pharmaceutical industries.

The successful applicant will need to be able to apply principles and techniques of software engineering to accomplish the following goals:

Software Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle application development
  • Designing, coding and debugging applications in C# and C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio

Field Service Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

Position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and training of personnel related to the automation equipment manufactured by Simplimatic, A Signode Brand for the Electronics, Packaging, and semiconductor industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation of Simplimatic equipment based on customer schedule.
  • Train customer employees on proper operation and maintenance related to Simplimatic equipment.
  • Electrical / electronic diagnosis of complex issues related to Simplimatic equipment.
  • Implementation, installation and evaluation of product improvements in the form of new hardware and software.   
  • Maintain and submit reports relating to the hours spent working customer issues.
  • Travel required up to 90%

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Machinist

Simplimatic, A Signode Brand is looking for experienced (minimum of 3 years) machinists for the second shift. Must be able to run mills, lathes, and machining centers, and must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Understanding of controls on ProtoTRAK mill and lathe a plus. Experience with Haas machining centers, incl. understanding of controls and programming a major plus. Willing to work OT as needed. Electrical Assembler

Job Description: 

  • Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components, such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, according to specifications. Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods.
  • Cuts wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters.
  • Cuts plastic sleeves and slips sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections.
  • Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device.
  • Routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points, according to layout, using soldering gun and hand-tools.
  • Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand-tools.
  • Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately assemble complex electromechanical equipment to engineering specifications using standard and specialized tools.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is required.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a Controls Engineering position that designs control systems for robotics, conveyor/material handling, and other automation systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review customer requirements and propose equipment controls design to satisfy same.
  2. Design, testing and implementation of automation systems.
  3. Prepare engineering and supporting documentation; wiring schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material and panel machining drawings.
