Mechanical Assembler

Location: Forest, VA

Complete Job Description:

• Employee must follow company safety rules and be actively engaged in creating a safer work environment at all times.
• Must be able to quickly and accurately assemble complex electromechanical equipment to engineering specifications using standard and specialized tools.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is required.
• Basic shop math skills are required.
• (Mechanical) Must be able to build and verify machines/subassemblies that have close-tolerance components and help identify and correct problems that may arise.
• Employee is required to have position-specific personal hand tools and/or test equipment. Specialized tooling will be provided by the company.
• Employee must follow established operational procedures including labor reporting, process documentation, record keeping and other defined reporting requirements.
• HS degree or GED required; 2 years technical or vocational degree preferred.
• Basic knowledge of PC applications is required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Some heavy lifting is required, up to 50 pounds.
• Some travel may be required.
• Employees are required to work scheduled overtime.
• This is an aggressive and fast-paced work environment. Commitment to meeting schedules, increasing efficiency and improving quality is required.
• Reports to Production Manager.
