Storeroom Clerk

Location: Forest, VA

Responsible for receiving merchandise, marking it with internal part numbers, stocking shelves, picking/allocating materials to fulfill internal manufacturing orders, completing transactions and updating the inventory management system. May involve heavy lifting and some overtime.

  • Perform clerical duties in a storeroom setting. Storeroom/inventory experience desired.

  • Check received storeroom materials as against the documents.
  • Mark items with internal part numbers or inventory control codes.

  • Handle storeroom supplies in an organized scheduled manner.
  • Handle and record movements of incoming & outgoing storeroom materials.
  • Ensure storeroom premises are maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Ensure adherence of established safety standards of storeroom management.
  • Available to work overtime when required including some Saturdays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as identified and directed by the Storeroom Manager/Spares Coordinator.
Storeroom Clerk

Expeditor/Junior Buyer

Location: Forest, VA

Liaison between vendors and Simplimatic Automation. Maintaining expedited parts for main office location, as well as our electronic location on 29. Back-up to Purchasing team.

Primary responsibilities

  • Daily review of shortage report
  • Follow up with vendors daily on past due items
  • Monitor and process NCRs
  • Daily communication with production to ensure equipment ships on time
  • Adequately prepare for production meetings (this involves a deep dive into past due parts, as to provide the most accurate information)
  • Maintain a good working relationship with vendors
  • Coordinate with the Stockroom Supervisor to ensure accurate inventory
  • Coordinate with SA machine shop on hot parts
  • Assist SA employees in searching for lost parts on the floor
  • Inform Engineering when a BOM issue arises to prevent future NCRs and delays
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure we are getting HOT parts as quickly and inexpensively as possible
  • Run/distribute reports to suppliers (expedite weekly, open order as needed, etc.); provide feedback to the team and follow up with vendors for issue resolution as needed
  • Assist in expediting/sourcing/purchasing late add and problem items as needed
  • Assist in expediting/sourcing secondary processing for late add/problem items as needed
  • Assist in identifying/adding new suppliers

Project Manager

Location: Forest, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Work with outside Sale force in proposal preparation
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Visit client facilities as required to confirm details and plant layouts

Desired Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; concentration in Engineering and/or Business

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Experience Required.
  • Microsoft Office Experience Required.
  • AutoCAD Experience Required, preferably Inventor

Purchasing Agent/Buyer

Location: Forest, VA

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Buyer is focused on the purchase of fabricated metal and plastic materials from internal and external suppliers in support of Simplimatic’s production plans. These materials typically require post-purchase processing prior to final use (plating/painting). The successful candidate must have excellent organizational and planning skills with a proactive mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Focused on fabricated materials sourced from internal and external suppliers.
  • Quote and release purchase orders as needed to support production (MRP report).
  • Develop/Expand supplier capacity to support future production requirements.
  • Manage suppliers to improve delivery performance, quality and reduce cost.
  • Expedite materials as production schedules change (expedite and shortage reports).
  • Provide daily feedback/updates on the status of parts impacting production schedules.
  • Escalate material issues/shortages to the Materials Manager.
  • Plan/schedule/manage the painting/coating of production parts.
  • Release/allocate/adjust inventory as needed to facilitate production.
  • Initiate/release/respond to NCRs.
  • Release/manage Supplier Corrective Actions.
  • Seek to implement new processes that help reduce machine part lead time and costs.
  • Manage the disposition of all discrepant material from Machined part suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain with relevant experience.
  • Experience/positional knowledge of machined and fabricated metal parts.
